WRITERS' CIRCLE
Writers' Circle at Heartside Ministry is the outgrowth of a several literary discussion groups, hosted by Casey’s Restaurant and facilitated by Calvin College, during the late 1980s.
Nowadays, Heartside Neighbors gather together to share, hear and critique one another’s writing. Sharing poetry and prose, neighbors are empowered through the telling/hearing of true stories, the engagement of imagination and floating in the important & therapeutic gray area that exists between reality & fiction. Recently, a collection of some of the writer’s best work was compiled in an anthology entitled As We Emerge.
