Writers' Circle
Writers' Circle at Heartside Ministry is the outgrowth of a several literary discussion groups, hosted by Casey’s Restaurant and facilitated by Calvin College, during the late 1980s.
Nowadays, every Monday afternoon at 2:00PM, Heartside neighbors gather together to share, hear and critique one another’s writing. Sharing poetry and prose, neighbors are empowered through the telling/hearing of true stories, the engagement of imagination and floating in the important & therapeutic gray area that exists between reality & fiction. Recently, a collection of some of the writer’s best work was compiled in an anthology entitled As We Emerge.
